AdSphere’s Upcoming February Release!

Happy New Year everyone!   My family and I had an awesome time over the holidays visiting Australia.  I took a video of the firework celebration out on Sydney Harbor to share.  Please click here to watch it!

As you know, this is the place to come to get all the latest AdSphere insight and I’m excited to share some of the details with you!   We are hard at work on a major new release for AdSphere.  We’ve decided to hold off until February in order to include some additional features.

Our software has been redesigned over the last couple of months to be fully dynamic and our development team has made amazing progress.  This means our software can now support very customized reporting as well as advanced filters.  As an example, you will be able to choose a custom start and end date for reports.  So if you wanted to see rankings for the last two or three weeks in one aggregated view, you can!  We will also be introducing real time rankings which will allow you to view AdSphere data for the current week!

Several new filters will make their debut in the upcoming build:

Response Type Filter – Now you can filter for creatives that use any combination of phone, web, SMS/text, and mobile app.  You can apply AND/OR logic so if you only wanted to see creatives that use Mobile App AND SMS, you could do that, assuming there are any.  🙂

Creative Length Filter – Now you can filter for any short form spot lengths.  If you wanted to see all 2-5 minutes spots that ran this week, no problem!  How about 5 minute spots with mobile app response?  It will be fun to play with all of the combinations of these amazing new filters!

Network Filter – Now you will be able to filter Adsphere data down to a single network.  Want to see all 5 minute spots that have run this week on CNN with Mobile App Response?  Want to see which campaigns are placing stress on a network’s inventory causing low clearances?  The possibilities are endless.

New Creatives/Brands/Advertiser Filter – Now you’ll be able to filter for all of the new creatives, or brands, or advertisers for any time frame.  If you want to see “new” brands or advertisers running “5 minute” creatives this week with “Mobile App” response on “CNN” all of these filters working together will be able to create such a report.  New dynamic reporting from AdSphere makes all of this possible!

Wait there’s more!  As exciting as our next release is going to be, just wait until you see what we’re adding to AdSphere in time for the DRMA Show end of April!

Closing out 2016…

This Monday (12/5/16) – We’ll be releasing our last “minor” build of the year.  When you apply filters in the all network trend view section of AdSphere, you’ll see the airing counts dynamically update at the top of the page.  For example, if you choose 2 or 3 networks from the network drop down, you’ll now see the total airings across those networks at the top of the page.  Any filters applied, will limit the data in the summary or airing detail outputs so we thought it would be nice to also have the airing counts update dynamically on the page based on network, Hour of Day, and Day of Week selected filters.  We resolved an issue where the MY REPORTS tab might disappear when users use high zoom levels with their browser.  We also made some improvements to the header information in output files to make them more descriptive.  We fixed an issue with EXCEL outputs at the network ROS level for national or local airings.  Lastly, Admin users are now able to export a list of their users to excel.

We hope everyone is having a wonderful Holiday Season!  Our development team is hard at work for a major new build of AdSphere slated for January 2017.  We’ll be bringing some exciting new dynamic reporting to the table including support for custom date range, real time current week rankings, network filter (that’s a big one), and creative length/response type filters.  Once we get the new build out in January, we’ll be focusing on a number of new exciting features that we hope to bring to you ahead of the DRMA Show in April where we’ll be showcasing all the latest features and enhancements of Adsphere!  We wish to thank you all for your support in 2016 and continued support in 2017 as we work to bring our first full production release of AdSphere to market.  It’s a joy and a privilege to serve you all.  Blessings to you and yours this holiday season!

Warmest Regards,

Joseph Gray

New AdSphere Build – 10/25/16

The new “Sprint 13” build of AdSphere is being released to production today.   “13” is a lucky number in our family as my oldest was born on the 13th day of December.  🙂

I do hope everyone received the heads up email I sent out previously regarding the new EULA “End User License Agreement“.  In this new build, users will be greeted with the EULA the first time they login.  The EULA is only shown to the user one time but agreeing to the terms is mandatory before proceeding to access the system.  You can click the link above to review the terms and conditions.  Please contact joseph.gray@drmetrix.com should you have any concerns.

The “My Reports” tab was completely redesigned as an overlay.   It will appear over the top of whatever page you happen to be on when you click the “My Reports” tab.   Click to download any of your reports and then close the overlay to resume where you left off.  (Overall, a much nicer experience!)  We are also introducing a new file naming scheme which makes it easier to identify all of the reports that you run.  You can also see the file size now before downloading.  We’ve also made it easier to select and delete multiple files in the My Reports tab.

We hope you enjoy the latest build!  Please email support@drmetrix.com if you encounter any issues!

New AdSphere Blog

Welcome to adspherelogo2

– The Blog

As an AdSphere™ user, we welcome you to subscribe to our new blog in order to stay up to date with all the relevant AdSphere™ happenings!

DRMetrix deployed its monitoring platform in December of 2014 and began monitoring 90+ national cable networks to build the AdSphere™ database.  18 months later, the database grew large enough to introduce the first beta release of AdSphere in mid-June of 2016.   At the time of this post, the database has grown to 12.9 million DRTV spot airings, 150K infomercial airings, 14,900 unique DRTV creatives, 4,500 DRTV brands, and 2,600 advertisers.  (Please visit www.drmetrix.com to see our latest statistics which appear about half way down the front page).

A new beta build of AdSphere is about to be released.  As an industry first, same day airings data is now available for all DRTV brands and creatives to within 60 minutes or less of airing.  No more waiting 6-8 weeks for actionable data.

In addition, the new build provides the following enhancements:

  • Same day & historical airings available for any DRTV brand or creative
  • Summary and airing detail exports
  • Video playback of any airing for 10 days & new airing level thumbnail feature
  • New filters including English/Spanish, lifetime rankings, and more.
  • All network trend view & new media analysis tools
  • Advertiser and brand summary reports with creative video links
  • Updates to user interface

Given our industry’s frequent use of different phone numbers, promotion codes, etc., AdSphere was engineered to track this data at the airing level.  For example, a thumbnail image is taken at a specific point in each commercial airing such as the “call to action” screen.  This allows AdSphere™ users to click on any current or historical airing and view a thumbnail image to confirm what phone number, promotion code, price point, etc., were used at the original time of airing.

Additionally, for up to 10 days, AdSphere™ users will be able to click and watch a video  of the actual airing for any traditional DRTV creative (including 28.5 minute infomercials).ezgif.com-video-to-gif (3)
